1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lodgio (“the Service”), operated by Lodgio Pty Ltd (ABN 74 702 266 037) (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lodgio is a record keeping tool that helps Australian sole traders and micro businesses import bank transactions, categorise them, estimate GST and export records for their accountant. Lodgio does not provide tax, financial, or legal advice. Lodgio does not lodge BAS returns on your behalf.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Australian law to use the Service.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address. You may not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to Lodgio, including bank statements, transaction records and receipts. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You may export or delete your data at any time.

You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent

7. Free and Pro Plans

Lodgio offers a free tier with usage limits and a paid Pro tier with expanded features. Pro subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Pricing is displayed on our website and within the application. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

8. Payments and Refunds

Pro subscriptions are charged in advance on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis – Contact us if you believe a refund is warranted.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Lodgio is not a registered tax agent. Any GST estimates, BAS field calculations, or categorisation suggestions are for record keeping purposes only and should be verified by a qualified tax professional before lodgement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to errors in BAS calculations, data loss, or missed deadlines. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Australia.
